QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPRAISER: N. CLARK WHEELER, ARA

Norman C. Wheeler and Associates is a 48-year-old agricultural appraisal and consulting firm with offices in Bozeman, Missoula and Sheridan, Montana. Professional staff employed by the firm includes four state general licensed appraisers, all of who hold the designation of Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA), as well as a consultant who holds a Ph.D. in Ag. Economics. The firm also has a designated appraisal trainee and a professional mapping and support staff. Mr. N. Clark Wheeler, the owner of the firm, is affiliated with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, holding the highest professional designation awarded by the Society: Accredited Rural Appraiser. Mr. Wheeler is one of only 18 ARAs in Montana, and holds Accreditation #673 in the 70-year-old organization. He was accredited in 1984, and has twenty-seven years of appraisal experience.

The American Society awards accreditation to those members who have completed a series of graduate-level courses in rural appraising and who have passed intensive exams in the field as well as in the classroom. In addition, completed sample appraisals of the applicant's work product must be submitted for grading on a national level. Only members with five or more years of successful appraising experience and one year of professional membership in the society are eligible. Mr. Wheeler compiled over 10,000 hours of field experience during the accreditation process. Additional professional continuing education is required to maintain this designation, and Mr. Wheeler is current through 2006.

In addition to national certification as an ARA, Mr. Wheeler is a Licensed General Certified Appraiser in the states of Montana and Wyoming, is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute, and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Montana.
